Open the Nova wallet application.
Select
the Staking screen.
Select
Polkadot.
Review the staking information presented to you.
Once you have understood the terms select
the Start Staking button.
Input
the amount of DOT tokens that you wish to stake and then select
continue. Note: a recommended nomination pool is selected by default.
Review all of the contextual information provided and select
Confirm.
Your staking position will now be displayed on the Staking screen within Nova Wallet.

How do I claim Polkadot pool staking rewards?
With pool staking on Polkadot, rewards must be claimed manually. You can do this directly in the Nova Wallet app after each era (about 24 hours). This gives you full control over when and how rewards are handled.
Is pool staking better than direct staking?
Pool staking on Polkadot is more accessible but may offer slightly lower APY and requires manual reward claiming. Direct staking pays out automatically but has a much higher DOT minimum. Choose based on your balance and preferences.
