If you would like to stake your MANTA token in Nova Wallet, please send your MANTA tokens using the Manta Atlantic network to avoid the complex bridging process.
You can also use Gate.io for easy swapping between Manta Pacific and Manta Atlantic.
The Manta project operates 2 networks – please make sure that you are familiar with them:
Manta Atlantic – This is the Substrate or Polkadot Chain. It is a parachain of Polkadot and this is the network where you can stake your MANTA tokens.
Manta Pacific – this is Manta's EVM chain which is an Ethererum Layer 2. This is the network which most CEXs support deposits and withdrawals for.
The Nova Wallet team cannot support you with issues that you have with the Manta network DApp or the Celer Bridge – you should contact those teams for assistance. This guide simply exists because it was clear that the community did not understand the differences between the two networks, or how to bridge between the two networks.
Please ensure you have read the text above and understand the differences between the 2 networks.
Once again, this process is NOT something that is controlled by Nova Wallet. If you have any issues with this process you should contact the Manta or Celer Bridge teams for assistance. Nova Wallet is not responsible for any issues that you have or any lost/delayed token transfers.
The Manta team has not optimized their DApp for use on mobile devices. You can access it by selecting desktop mode in Nova Wallet Desktop Mode for DApps. Please note that this is entirely caused by the Manta team and not something that the Nova Wallet team can control. If you have any issues with this then you should contact the Manta team, and not the Nova Wallet team.
Please note that you need ETH on Manta Pacific to be able to pay for transaction fees.
Please note that you need GLMR on Moonbeam to pay for transaction fees.
Please note that when you transfer tokens between Manta Atlantic and Manta Pacific there are multiple cross-chain transfers that occur.
Manta Atlantic <> Moonbeam <> Manta Pacific
Also please note that when bridging from Moonbeam to Manta Pacific you may have to wait anywhere from a few minutes to multiple hours. This is because you are using a centralized bridge and not Polkadot XCM.
If you imported your account via the JSON file, you will not be able to see Manta Pacific as Nova Wallet cannot create an EVM account for you. You should import your account via it's seed phrase to fix this issue.
This process requires the use of Nova Wallet's native cross-chain transfer feature and the use of Celer Bridge. Once again we want to remind you that we do not operate Celer Bridge and you use it entirely at your own risk. You may experience multiple hours of delays when trying to bridge your tokens and all centralized bridges carry a risk of permanent and irreversible loss of assets that we cannot assist you with. You should conduct your own research and only proceed if you fully accept and understand all of the risks.
Currently the only way to transfer from Manta Atlantic to Manta Pacific is by using the Manta DApp (you can find information about this at the bottom of this page). The Manta team must conduct a runtime upgrade to fix this.
Open the Nova Wallet application.
Use Nova Wallet's DApp Browser ( Connect to DApps) to connect to Celer Bridge https://cbridge.celer.network/1284/169/MANTA
In the "From" dropdown, select Manta Pacific Mainnet.
In the "To" dropdown, select Moonbeam.
Enter the amount of tokens that you want to transfer, and sign all related operations.
Again, please note that when bridging from Manta Pacific to Moonbeam you may have to wait anywhere from a few minutes to multiple hours. This is because you are using a centralized bridge and not Polkadot XCM.
Once your tokens have been bridged, again open the Nova Wallet application.
Select
Send from the balance widget.
Select
Manta on the Moonbeam network, you can search for it in the search bar.
Select
the to dropdown list and then select
Manta Atlantic.
Since you are conducting a cross-chain transfer, the option to send to your account on the destination chain becomes available – simply select
the Myself button – otherwise enter the address of the account that you want to send MANTA to.
Review the contextual information and select
Confirm.
Please note that there are currently issues with the Manta DApp that may stop you from being able to connect to it on mobile. This is caused by the fact that the app is not optimized for mobile devices and that it need to connect to multiple networks at the same time
Go to the Manta DApp: https://app.manta.network/manta/bridge
Select the network that you want to send tokens from (Manta Atlantic or Manta Pacific)
Select the network that you want to send tokens to (Manta Atlantic or Manta Pacific)
Input
the amount of tokens that you wish to send and select
Continue.
You now need to follow all of the prompts on the Manta DApp.
Again, you may need ETH on Manta Pacific and GLMR on Moonbeam to carry out these transactions – if you have any issues at all then you need to contact the Manta team for assistance.
