# Manage Polimec Collators

{% hint style="info" %}
If you wish to change the Collator which you are staking with, you first need to unstake from your existing Collator.
{% endhint %}

{% hint style="info" %}
Collators can often vary in their performance. This ultimately can affect the amount of staking rewards that you earn from delegating to them. As such, Nova Wallet recommends that you monitor your Collator's performance on a semi-frequent basis.
{% endhint %}

You can change the Collator which you stake with at any time:

1. Open the Nova Wallet application.
2. `Select` the **Staking** **screen**.
3. `Select` your staking position, in this case, would be **Polimec PLMC**.
4. From the **Polimec staking** **screen** `select` "**Your** **collators**".
5. From the Your collators screen `select` **Change**.
6. If you wish to change your Collator, you should now `select` **Unstake**.
7. `Input` the amount of tokens that you wish to unstake, in this case likely you will want to unstake all of your tokens.
8. Once you are happy with the amount you are unstaking`select` **Continue**.
9. Review the contextual information including any associated fees and `select` **Confirm**.
10. You must now wait for the unstaking period to finish [how-to-unstake-your-plmc](https://docs.novawallet.io/nova-wallet-wiki/staking/polimec-plmc-staking/how-to-unstake-your-plmc "mention") and then start staking again with a new collator [](https://docs.novawallet.io/nova-wallet-wiki/staking/polimec-plmc-staking "mention")
