How to unstake your GLMR tokens!

You must wait ~7 days AFTER completing the unstaking transaction before you can redeem your GLMR tokens. This period is set by the Moonbeam protocol itself and is not something set by Nova Wallet.

GLMR which is undergoing the unstaking process does NOT earn any staking rewards.

When you stake tokens on Moonbeam you agree to have your tokens "locked" in staking for 7 days.

When you wish to unstake your tokens, you must wait for the entire duration of the Unstaking/Unboding Period to expire before you can redeem your tokens.

Step 1: Unstaking Process

1. Open the Nova Wallet application.

2. Select the Staking screen.

3. Select your staking position, in this case, would be Moonbeam GLMR.

4. From the Moonbeam staking screen select Unstake.

5. Input the amount of GLMR tokens that you wish to unstake and then select Continue.

6. Review all the contextual information including any associated fees and select Confirm.

You have now started the 7-day unstaking process. You must wait 7 days before you can redeem your GLMR tokens.

You are able to cancel the unstaking process at any time from the Moonbeam staking screen.

Step 2: Redemption Process

1. Open the Nova Wallet application.

2. Select the Staking screen.

3. Select your staking position, in this case, would be Moonbeam GLMR.

4. From the Moonbeam staking screen select Redeem.

5. Review all of the contextual information including any associated fees and select Confirm.

You will now receive the amount of GLMR that you previously chose to unstake.
